HOUSE DANCE
with DAZL
2-4pm
25$
Workshop description: House dance, born in the clubs of Chicago and New York in the 1980s, draws its essence from *jacking*, a rhythmic torso twisting movement (body undulation) that embodies the energy of house music. This style fuses fast and complex footwork, borrowed from social dances like jazz, hip-hop, and Latin dances. *Jacking* serves as a unifying thread, blending these influences into a free and vibrant expression.

Moodz

Workshop description:
I offer an immersive class dedicated to the culture of Whacking/Waacking, a dance born in the late 60s in the LGBTQIA2+ clubs of Los Angeles, emphasizing individuality and personal expression.
In this workshop, I will share my own approach to whacking, focusing particularly on the "whack" technique as well as the work of "pausing" and "character." Through technical exercises and creative explorations, we will explore how to achieve total freedom in freestyle, while staying clear, musical, and maintaining a sense of fun.
